Texas barbecue is truly the best. I recently visited Terry Black’s in Dallas, Texas to see for myself. We arrived early to avoid the line and were greeted by friendly pit masters who showed us what was smoking that morning. We ordered mac and cheese, coleslaw, and creamed corn before heading to the meat line. Of course, we had to try the beef rib, which was incredibly juicy and tender. We also grabbed some brisket and pork ribs, both of which looked amazing.
The beef rib was the star of the show. It was a hefty pound and a half, and you could pull it apart with just a fork. The pork ribs were delicious, falling off the bone but still with a good chew. And the brisket was top-notch, some of the best I’ve ever had. We ate until we couldn’t eat any more, feeling like we were about to explode.
If you’re in Dallas, I highly recommend making a stop at Terry Black’s. Texas barbecue truly lives up to its reputation, but you’ll have to try it yourself to believe it.
