My first experience trying barbecue in Texas was at Terry Black’s Barbecue and I have to say, it was worth every penny of the $75 I spent. The cheddar jalapeno sausage was a standout, with the perfect balance of jalapeno flavor. It easily ranks in the top five sausages I’ve ever tried.
Next up was the brisket, and let me tell you, it was the best I’ve ever had. It practically melted in my mouth, with a subtle smoky flavor that wasn’t overpowering. It was a far cry from chewing on a wood chip.
And of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the ribs. They were tender and flavorful, requiring minimal effort to bite into. These were hands down the best ribs I’ve ever had.
I also tried the mac and cheese, which was incredibly creamy but a tad bit bland. Overall, I would give my experience at Terry Black’s Barbecue a 9.3 out of 10. If you find yourself in Texas, this is a must-visit spot for barbecue enthusiasts.
