This Recipe Won My Husband’s Heart: Try These Jalapeño Cheese Squares! #BBQ #TexasFood

[matched_content] I am not ashamed to admit that my mom’s jalapeno cheese squares are part of the reason my husband married me. Would you have proposed anyway? Maybe, but this recipe really sealed the deal.

You’re going to start with four cups of cheese. I use half cheddar, half mozzarella, but I don’t think it really matters. Then toss in a handful of crumbled bacon and some diced jalapenos. Give that all a good mix and set it to the side.

In another bowl, you’re going to add a can of evaporated milk, 1/2 cup of flour, then crack in a couple of eggs and whisk it all together. Pour that wet mixture on top of your cheese mix it all up, then spread it into the bottom of a baking dish.

Then just toss them in a 350° oven for about 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Then you can slice them up and dig into these delicious jalapeno cheese squares.
