Ingredients

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
  • teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Find a glass jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid that can hold at least 2 cups of liquid.
  2. Pour both the white vinegar and apple cider vinegar into the container.
  3. Add the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Allow the sauce to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes so flavors begin to meld.
  6. For best results, refrigerate for 24 hours before using to allow flavors to fully develop.
  7. Shake well before each use as ingredients may settle.
