Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce like Texas Pete or Frank's RedHot
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Combine the white vinegar and apple cider vinegar in a clean glass jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid.
  2. Add the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper to the jar.
  3. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously until all ingredients are well combined and the sugar has dissolved.
  4. Let the sauce rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before using, but ideally refrigerate for 24 hours to allow the flavors to fully meld.
  5. Shake well before using as the spices may settle.
