- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Place chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce has slightly thickened.
- For extra caramelization, brush the chicken with additional sauce and broil for 2-3 minutes until the tops are slightly charred.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
