Method
- Preheat your broiler. Position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heating element.
- In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, paprika, chili powder, and black pepper.
- Bring the sauce mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce is slightly thickened.
- Set aside half of the BBQ sauce for serving later.
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and place them on a broiler-safe pan or baking sheet.
- Brush the pork chops generously with the remaining BBQ sauce on both sides.
- Broil for 4-5 minutes on the first side.
- Flip the pork chops, brush with more sauce, and broil for another 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Allow the pork chops to rest for 3 minutes before serving with the reserved sauce.
