Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 whole lemon cut into wedges

Method

  1. Peel and devein shrimp, then pat dry. Mince garlic, chop parsley, and cut lemon into wedges. Measure spices and sauce ingredients.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Sear 2–3 minutes without moving, flip, then cook 1–2 minutes more. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and melt. Stir in garlic until fragrant (do not brown). Add Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in Worcestershire and lemon juice.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook about 2 minutes, just until shrimp are warmed through and opaque.
  6. Transfer to a serving platter or serve straight from the skillet. Spoon sauce over the shrimp, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
