Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. This allows for better flavor penetration and more tender ribs.
- In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika to create a dry rub.
- Coat both sides of the ribs generously with the dry rub mixture, pressing it into the meat.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up.
- Cover tightly with another sheet of foil and bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes. The meat should be tender and nearly falling off the bone.
- While the ribs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Transfer the baked ribs to the grill and brush generously with the BBQ sauce.
- Grill the ribs for 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with more sauce each time you flip them, until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before cutting into individual ribs.
- Serve with the remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
