Ingredients
Method
- In a medium saucepan, bring the apple cider vinegar to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped habanero peppers, diced onion, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, yellow mustard, white pepper, and seasoned salt to the boiling vinegar.
- Return the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
- Stir in the brown sugar until completely dissolved.
- Add the ketchup and mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for approximately 1 hour, stirring occasionally. The sauce will thicken as it reduces.
- For a smoother sauce, allow the mixture to cool slightly and then carefully transfer to a blender or food processor to puree (optional).
- Allow the sauce to cool completely before transferring to glass jars or bottles for storage.
