  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and measure them out before beginning.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the gochujang until completely dissolved, ensuring there are no lumps.
  4. Add minced ginger, garlic, and honey, stirring to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
  6. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce has slightly thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Allow to cool completely before transferring to a jar or airtight container.
