Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking dish with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick better and promotes browning.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, then sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each breast.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in your prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- While the chicken is baking, prepare your BBQ sauce mixture by combining ¾ cup of BBQ sauce with honey and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
- After 20 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush each breast generously with the BBQ sauce mixture.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce has started to caramelize.
- For a more glazed finish, brush with the remaining BBQ sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired and serve with the remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
