Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts, then rub with the spice mixture, ensuring all sides are well-coated.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a baking dish, skin side up.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and brush generously with half of the BBQ sauce, making sure to coat the tops and sides.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Brush with remaining BBQ sauce and bake for a final 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is slightly caramelized.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
